A trucker’s short video showing off his epic layby tea break, complete with classic English fare as well as a tablecloth and candles, has gone viral on Tik Tok – reaching 177,000 views in just over 24 hours.
If the video is anything to go by, a Greggs pasty and Costa Coffee certainly doesn’t do it for this guy.
The clip begins with the Data Shredders driver enthusiastically talking about his impending tea break. Piece by piece, he then puts together a massive spread of classic goodies that would easily satisfy himself and a few other guests.

Tea, scones, clotted cream, local jam, cakes, biscuits, sausage rolls and sandwiches are all there – presented in a manner more in keeping with a tea-room than a truck cabin. That said, the HGV driver does refer to his cabin as the “dining area”!
After assembling the amazing spread, put together with the help of his wife, the trucker then happily says “I’m gonna admire these lovely views and have my afternoon tea in a layby.”
Since posting the video, ‘Trucker Tim’ has gained thousands of new followers and now has over 100,000 subscribers. To celebrate the feat, he filmed himself jumping into a swimming pool yesterday afternoon.
