Girteka has appointed logistics veteran Nikolay Pargov as CEO of its core logistics business, the company announced this week. The move comes as the division prepares to rebrand from Girteka Europe West UAB to Girteka Logistics UAB, effective 2 May.

Pargov, who joined the company in September 2024, brings more than two decades of experience from leading industry players including DHL, C.H. Robinson Europe, and Transporeon. As CEO, he will focus on driving growth, improving operational efficiency, and delivering value to both customers and stakeholders.

“With a strong and committed team, we’re well-positioned to deliver outstanding service and reliability to our customers,” said Pargov. “I’m honoured by the trust placed in me and look forward to continuing our mission of being Europe’s leading provider of temperature-controlled and high-care cargo transportation.”

The upcoming name change reflects the company’s sharpened strategic focus on its core logistics operations. According to Girteka Group CEO Edvardas Liachovičius, the current name no longer aligns with the company’s structure or long-term goals.

“Girteka Logistics better aligns with our core business and future direction – delivering operational excellence and driving growth in logistics,” Liachovičius stated.

The leadership reshuffle follows the recent departure of former CEO Jeroen Eijsink, who stepped down earlier this month for personal reasons after nearly two years in the role. Eijsink will remain with Girteka as a strategic advisor to Group CEO Edvardas Liachovičius.

Liachovičius, who led the company before Eijsink’s appointment, has now resumed a more active leadership role, reaffirming Girteka’s focus on operational excellence, digital innovation, and sustainable growth in the European transport sector.
