In a statement, Pall-Ex described the city of Łódź as now being a “favourite location” for logistics companies operating within Poland and Eastern Europe. The pallet network adds that the central hub is “a vast improvement” on its previous site in Skierniewice.

Pall-Ex Poland believes the new facility will help with its ambition to increase annual pallet volumes to an excess of 500,000 in 2023, thanks to its express space and transshipment docks. The company stresses it wishes to become the leading pallet network in the country.

According to Pall-Ex, the investment does not end with the new hub either. The on-site offices also include a “state-of-the-art” training room, where staff can develop their ability to use the company’s Nexus IT system.

Managing Director of Pall-Ex Poland, Piotr Kołtuniak, said he was excited by the opening and explained how the business plans to maximise this new facility.

Commenting on the opening, Kołtuniak said:

“Our new hub is a fantastic improvement over our previous facility in Skierniewice, meaning we can now really push on with our growth strategy. We have ambitious plans, but thanks to the investment of Pall-Ex Group and our partner Uniq Logistics, we are confident that no goal is out of reach. We are always expanding our team as our network grows and the next few years will be very exciting for all of our members and the team.”

Meanwhile, Mark Steel, who oversees Pall-Ex’s entire international operations, added:

“We are really proud of what Piotr and the whole team have achieved so far in Poland. Their hard work and persistence continues to deliver great results. The new hub signifies Pall-Ex Poland’s intention to become leaders in the palletised freight industry in the coming years. The state-of-the-art facility gives the network fantastic flexibility allowing it to maximise any opportunities that arise. We are continuing to develop our international presence, with new master licensee opportunities being made available globally so it is a really exciting time to be leading Pall-Ex’s international venture.”
