French road police operating in the municipality of Saint-Félix-de-l’Héras detected the speeding offence during checks it conducted on the A75 last week.

The driver, who was bound for Barcelona, was transporting parts “for a famous card brand” according to the Gendarmerie de l’Hérault Facebook Page.

It turned out that the driver had put his foot down as much as possible in order to reach his stopping point for the night before his legal driving time ran out. At the time the police pulled the driver over, he had only ten minutes left.

Unfortunately for the driver, his determination to get to his destination on time has resulted in him having to face court in France “within the next few months”.
