The IVECO eDaily has secured an official Guinness World Record. The electric van, equipped with a 140kW rear-wheel drive drivetrain delivering 400Nm of torque, achieved an outstanding feat during the record-breaking event.

On 20th June 2023, the eDaily took on the challenge at Blackbushe Airport in Surrey. It was hitched to the specially engineered IVECO X-Way Strator truck, designed to handle loads of up to 150 tonnes.

The task began with the Strator truck towing a massive Collard Group earth-mover weighing over 50 tonnes, with an additional seven tonnes of ballast for added weight.

Completing the 153-tonne road train was an IVECO X-Way 8×4 tipper truck, connected with a specialized towbar meeting record criteria, securing the weight to the eDaily.

The eDaily’s 'hi-power’ mode, a standard feature in every eDaily, provided bursts of additional power during the challenge, ensuring steady progress down the 100ft runway.

The display of strength and capability led the eDaily to cross the finish line in front of GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ invigilators, securing its place as the record holder.

Throughout the event, the van’s performance impressed Britain’s current Strongest Man, Adam Bishop, who praised the eDaily’s capabilities during the towing task.

Mike Cutts, IVECO UK Light Business-line Director, expressed his pride in the eDaily’s remarkable accomplishment, surpassing its initial target of 130 tonnes. He thanked everyone involved, acknowledging the collective effort that made this world record possible.
