ADAC : switch on the parking heater to avoid failure

The German automobile club ADAC reminds drivers to turn on the parking heater for an hour or two this summer. This will allow you to clean the combustion chambers and nozzles and prevent failure when the heating is most needed, i.e. in autumn and winter. Also, note that this system is equipped with a remote ventilation function that allows you to ventilate the cabin of a vehicle parked in the sun in summer.

Manufacturers of such systems recommend that you turn on the parking heater at least once a month, also in summer. Just like in the case of air conditioning, which you should turn on from time to time in winter.

In addition, for the parking heater to function properly, the cooling system must be maintained in good condition, with particular attention to the thermostat and coolant.
