Lichfield District Council has made an appeal for information regarding how a HGV trailer full chemical containers and gas canisters ended up being dumped at a layby off the A51.
The trailer was spotted at the layby at Cleat Hill last week. However, reports in the local press suggest it may have been dumped weeks ago.
According to Lichfield Live, tests are being carried out to determine what the chemicals are that were found inside in order for the load to be disposed of safely.
Lichfield city council has asked for anyone who may have information on the trailer to make a report via www.lichfielddc.gov.uk/report.
