The formalities relating to informing that an employee is being delegated in Austria have been simplified and the number of documents needed reduced.
Simpler applications
As of June 1, simplified formalities relating to delegating employees apply in Austria. Delegated drivers are required to report once every six years rather than for each individual route.
Employee data and vehicle registration number are required for the application, but you no longer need to provide information about the counterparty and the place of employment.
Fewer documents
Also the document requirements that the driver needs to have changed. From June the delegated worker does not have to bring with him documents confirming the amount of his salary. However, if he is summoned for inspection, he will have to show the required documentation.
The employee must bring a report (ZKO-Meldung) to the Central Department of Coordination (Zentrale Koordinationsstelle, abbreviated ZKO) of the Federal Ministry of Finance and the contract of employment. When it comes to the A1 document, the driver is not obliged to carry it if they have another document confirming that they are covered by health insurance.
