As of February 13th, Belgium will no longer require lorry drivers to be in possession of a completed form that declares their journey is essential.

The requirement to carry a so-called “declaration of honour” document was introduced last month. The measure was supposed to be in place until March 1st 2021, but will now be dropped on Friday.

Instead of carrying the exemption form, drivers will only need to present proof of the transport they are conducting. Therefore, a document such as a bill of lading will be accepted.

In the meantime, you can download a pdf of the “declaration of honour” form here.
