CEVA Logistics is expanding its UK road fleet with 165 new DAF trucks, most of them set to run on HVO rather than diesel. The move increases capacity while also showing how major operators are using lower-emission fuels now, rather than waiting for full electrification.

CEVA Logistics has added 165 new DAF trucks to its UK transport fleet, expanding road transport capacity and increasing the size of its domestic network.

The company said the new vehicles are intended to support a broad range of customer operations across the UK and to improve service continuity and operational resilience.

According to CEVA, the fleet will operate predominantly on hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) rather than conventional diesel. The company says this can reduce CO₂ emissions by up to 90% compared with diesel, although that figure comes from CEVA’s own description of the fuel’s performance.

The trucks have also been fitted with telematics systems designed to provide real-time vehicle and route data. CEVA says this is aimed at improving operational visibility, route planning and safety.

The new vehicles were introduced in partnership with Ford & Slater and leasing provider TIP Group. CEVA did not disclose the value of the investment or specify which DAF models were added to the fleet.
