“This new accommodation at the TST Logistics transshipment yard, right next to a major freight transport hub, provides a rest stop for everyone who travels professionally – especially for truck drivers who often lack time for proper rest,” the German Roatel network announced in early June.
This is the first Roatel facility to be established directly on the premises of a logistics company.
“Exactly where it’s needed – integrated into the logistics infrastructure, with simple digital booking available 24/7,” the company added.
“TST is the first company where we’re implementing our concept directly at a logistics headquarters,” said Amelie Riemann, Roatel’s Head of Sales, in the company’s press release.
With the opening of this new container hotel, Roatel has launched a six-month trial of the accommodation concept on the site of an international logistics warehouse. If the facility proves popular among drivers and hauliers, similar hotels may be built at other TST locations.
