German logistics provider Dachser has opened a new branch in Belfast, strengthening its road freight offering for customers in Northern Ireland and extending direct access to its European network.

The new location is intended to improve connectivity for Northern Ireland exporters by offering daily departures, defined transit times and consistent service standards across UK, Irish and continental European markets. The move builds on Dachser’s existing operations across Great Britain and Ireland.

From 1 January 2026, the Belfast branch is led by Nathan Gavin, who has taken responsibility for developing the local business and managing day-to-day operations. Gavin previously served as branch manager at DB Schenker in Belfast.

According to Dachser, the new site underlines the company’s intention to grow its presence in Northern Ireland and to support exporters through its company-owned European road freight network.

Mark Rollinson, regional managing director UK & Ireland at Dachser, said the Belfast opening reflects the company’s broader expansion strategy in the region and its focus on providing reliable distribution and logistics services to European markets.

Gavin said his priorities would include business development, team leadership and maintaining operational standards, with a focus on supporting Northern Ireland exporters through Dachser’s integrated network.

The Belfast branch adds to Dachser’s UK and Ireland footprint at a time when many shippers in Northern Ireland continue to seek stable, predictable road freight connections to EU destinations.
