Logistics provider DACHSER has acquired all shares of its Finnish joint venture, DACHSER Finland Oy, as of 15 January. The company, which previously held a 50% stake alongside its partner ACE Logistics Group, has fully integrated DACHSER Finland into its Nordic road transport operations under the leadership of Peter Hut, Managing Director Nordic European Logistics.

“By taking full ownership, we are bringing our road logistics setup in Finland, Sweden, Denmark, and Norway even closer together, ensuring consistent organizational structures and processes across our transport network,” commented Alexander Tonn, COO Road Logistics at DACHSER.

The acquisition allows DACHSER to offer its customers in Northern Europe integrated logistics services, including transportation solutions for industrial goods, consumer goods, and food products. Additionally, the company is enhancing connections to its Air & Sea Logistics division for broader global reach.

DACHSER has worked with ACE Logistics Group, headquartered in Tallinn, Estonia, for over 25 years. ACE will remain DACHSER’s close partner in the European road transport network for the Baltic States and Ukraine.

DACHSER employs approximately 1,800 staff across Finland, Sweden, Denmark, and Norway. Recent investments in the region include the acquisition of Swedish food logistics company Frigoscandia AB in early 2024 and the establishment of new facilities in Aalborg, Denmark, and Kristiansand, Norway. In Sweden, the company is expanding its presence in Jönköping and Landskrona with larger buildings, while a new site in Tampere, Finland, is set to open in spring 2025.

“DACHSER Nordic is a crucial pillar of our network,” Tonn added. “By investing in Finland, we are strengthening the region and further enhancing our services for local and global customers.”
