DHL has been appointed by Jameel Motors UK to provide end-to-end logistics support for the launch of the Farizon SV, a new fully electric large van entering the UK market. The services will cover customs clearance, finished vehicle logistics, and aftermarket support.

The Farizon SV, manufactured by Geely’s commercial vehicle division, will be officially introduced at the Commercial Vehicle Show in Birmingham between 29 April and 1 May. All incoming vehicles will be processed through Felixstowe port, with DHL Global Forwarding managing customs procedures. DHL Supply Chain will then transport the vans to its container facility in Stanton for inspection before final delivery to a finished vehicle site in Peterborough.

In addition to managing inbound logistics, DHL will oversee the preparation of press and demonstration vehicles and will handle pre-delivery inspections, software updates, and direct deliveries to dealerships and customers. Aftermarket support operations will be based at DHL’s Stanton facility, serving both a developing dealer network and direct customers nationwide.

“As a new brand to the UK, we recognise the imperative of leveraging the expertise and experience of the very best partner,” said Kate McLaren, Head of Marketing and Sales Operations at Jameel Motors UK.

Paul Stone, Managing Director of Manufacturing Logistics at DHL Supply Chain, noted:

“By giving Farizon a ready-made network and access to the highest level of automotive logistics expertise, we’re enabling seamless market entry.”

The Farizon SV features drive-by-wire technology, a b-pillarless design, and cell-to-pack battery integration. According to Jameel Motors UK, these features are intended to enhance the van’s payload, cargo space, and ease of loading.

Farizon, founded in 2016, is part of Geely, China’s largest privately owned carmaker. Its entry into the UK market marks the latest move by Chinese manufacturers to expand their footprint in Europe’s growing commercial electric vehicle segment.
