Difficulties in the A16 in Calais. Roadworks in progress

Maintenance work on the A16 between nodes 43 (Calais-center / Cité Europe Est) and 46 (St. Omer / Ardres) began on Sunday, July 26th, and will continue until mid-August.

Today at 8 a.m., the first stage of works carried out on the A16 in the Calais area since Sunday, July 26th, will be completed. At that time the left and middle lane of the motorway from junction 43 (Calais-center / Cité Europe Est) were closed. Also exit no. 44 (Calais St. Pierre) and 46 (St. Omer / Ardres) were closed, reports Febetra, the Belgian association of carriers.

Tonight at 8 p.m. the next phase of road maintenance will start, which will last until 6 p.m. tomorrow. The left and centre lane of the motorway from junction no. 43 (Calais-center / Cité Europe Est) will be closed and traffic will be directed to the Dunkirk-Boulogne-sur-Mer lane. In addition, exit no. 44 (Calais St. Pierre) will be closed.

Tomorrow, that is on July 29th, at 8 p.m., the next stage of roadworks will start, which will last until July 31st, 8 a.m. During this time, the left and middle lanes will be closed, starting from junction no. 44 (Calais St. Pierre). Exits  no. 46 (St.  Omer / Ardres) will be closed.

Then, from August 2 to 7, junction no. 46 in the direction of Dunkirk-Boulogne-sur-Mer will be closed, according to the Northern Roads Department. 

From August 9 to 14, also junction no. 43 at the entrance to Dunkirk and junction no. 44 in the direction of Dunkirk-Boulogne-sur-Mer will be closed.
