Most likely drivers working in international transport will soon earn more, which will affect the transport costs in the European Union. This would be the result of changes in the EU law that MEPs and the European Commission are currently working on. Will these new laws unite and develop Europe, or on the contrary – divide it? What is your opinion?

The European Union plans to amend the provisions on posted workers. The changes will also affect drivers in international traffic. The idea is simple: a driver in each country through which he passes has to earn not less than the local driver. Accordingly, his employer has the duty to properly account for and document the hourly wages.

Currently, almost 60 percent of International transport in the Community is carried out by companies from Central and Eastern Europe. Earnings in the countries of this region are lower than in Western Europe. The proposed change of rules will, therefore, have an impact on the economy of the entire Union. It will affect the freedom of movement of services, costs, but it can also improve the quality of life and work of drivers.

The questionnaire presented here is used to collect opinions from people working in the transport industry, but also from those working in manufacturing companies that use transport services. Apart from media slogans and political interests, it is important that we know the opinion of people working in this area on a daily basis.
