In one example published on its Twitter page on Saturday, the DVSA showed photos of a Light Goods Vehicle it had inspected on the M5.
The vehicle was found to have a dangerously insecure load that was heavier than allowed. Moreover, there were suspension anti roll bar defects, while the suspension main leaf spring was broken too.

The inspectors prohibited the vehicle from use, and after its load was secured, it was towed away. The driver was also reported.
In addition to the aforementioned Light Goods Vehicle, inspectors found an overloaded van with broken rims. The DVSA said the van’s exterior body panel was damaged was likely to cause injury.

On top of that, a lorry was stopped for having three damaged tyres, while a trucker was punished for drivers’ hours violations.
