France’s Transport Secretary has said there are plans to set up a protocol so traffic flows with the UK can resume, reports Sky News.
British supermarket chain Sainsbury this morning warned the public and the UK Government about possible disruptions in food supplies due to France’s decision to close its borders to passengers and accompanied freight.
The RHA have also warned about disruption to the supply of fresh food.
Following the panic and the chaos in Kent, French Transport Secretary Jean-Baptiste Djebbari has announced there will be a Europe-wide plan “in the coming hours” to resume traffic flows to and from the UK.
