According to Autobahn GmbH Niederlassung Südwest, the full closure of the A6 towards Mannheim will begin on Friday, 23 August 2024, at 20:00 and will end on Monday, 26 August 2024, at 05:00.
However, Autobahn GmbH warns that traffic restrictions may start earlier, as traffic safety measures will be implemented from 15:00 on Friday, 23 August. The A6 carriageway towards Nuremberg will remain unaffected by these works.
Diversions: Mannheim, Würzburg, Nuremberg

Further construction measures
After the full closure this weekend, approximately four kilometres of the A6 carriageway towards Mannheim will be resurfaced. During the one- to two-week traffic management period, all lanes—three towards Nuremberg and two towards Mannheim—will be narrowed. Additionally, the Sulmtal (north) PWC facility in the direction of Heilbronn/Mannheim will be closed for the entire construction period from 16 August 2024.
Autobahn GmbH Niederlassung Südwest will provide further information on the progress of the construction work and traffic management at the end of August.
