On the Spanish AP-8 highway, a line of trucks reaches 18 kilometers. On the Polish A2 motorway, cars are stuck in a 21-kilometer long traffic jam.
The huge congestion on the Polish-German and Spanish-French borders is due to a feast celebrated by the French and Germans. On May 21, on Pentecostal Monday, truck traffic is banned in both countries. You will only be able to enter Germany after 21:00, and France – after midnight.
According to the Center for Management of A2 Świecko – Konin motorway, the traffic easement is expected on Tuesday late in the evening, and possibly even on Wednesday morning.
