Europa Road has set up its own groupage operation in Rotterdam following 12 months of planning. Named Europa Road BV, the company opened on 1 February with ten staff working out of a base at Marten Meesweg.

In a press release confirming the launch, Europa stressed that the firm already has an established presence in Belgium with Europa Road BV.
The company says its services are aimed at those looking for “flexible and frictionless” logistics options for goods between NL and the UK. This includes Groupage, Part Load and Full Load services.
As a whole, Europa Worldwide says it now has 1,300 staff, a turnover of 373m euros, and a presence in more than 160 countries.
The company has also been vocal about its DDP product, which manages post-Brexit customs formalities without the need to engage the buyer. This means goods are not delayed by additional paperwork, and customers are not burdened with unexpected, additional fees.
Commenting on the launch, Andrew Baxter, Chief Executive of Europa, said:
“This is a significant investment for Europa as we launch our second continental European team. With local expert customs professionals in the Netherlands, Belgium and the UK, coupled with a strong team of dedicated local account managers and proven the systems, we are expertly positioned for customers looking to export from the Netherlands to the UK.”
