The collaboration brings together three established regional hauliers, Campeys of Selby in North Yorkshire, Premier Logistics in Leicestershire, and Wrings Transport in Gloucestershire, combining their warehousing capacity, planning teams and full-load transport operations into a coordinated UK-wide network designed to support VPK’s packaging operations.
According toVPK’s announcement, the partnership creates an integrated solution covering long-haul transport, regional distribution, consolidation and customer-facing digital tools.
UK-wide reach built from regional strengths
The three hauliers will handle high-volume, full-load packaging flows from key manufacturing sites, supplying customers in the food, retail and e-commerce sectors.
Each operator contributes its regional expertise to the national setup:
- Campeys of Selby (North Yorkshire) – supporting northern trunking routes and major FMCG flows.
- Premier Logistics (Leicestershire) – acting as the central hub, providing warehousing, consolidation, embedded transport planning and network coordination.
- Wrings Transport (Gloucestershire) – covering the South West while linking into the Midlands and South East.
For palletised or mixed consignments, the partners will use the Palletforce network to extend coverage.
Lower empty running and improved fleet utilisation
The three operators said the network is designed around shared efficiency targets. By combining planning, aligning trunking routes and consolidating freight across their fleets, the partnership aims to:
- reduce empty running,
- optimise vehicle loading,
- lower fuel consumption and emissions,
- and make delivery schedules more predictable.
Digital tools will support these aims. A central planning team based at Premier Logistics’ Leicestershire facility provides real-time visibility, updates and POD documentation through a dedicated customer portal.
The new setup is described as both scalable and replicable. As volumes grow, the structure allows for the integration of additional sites or further Transport Association members.
