Mobile People.Powered.Logistics Ltd, commonly known as Mobile PPL, operates as a full-service transport and logistics business with facilities in the West Midlands and Buckinghamshire. The company employs over 90 professionals and reports an annual turnover of £18 million.
Simon Pemberton joins the board with extensive experience from his tenure at Gallagher Bassett, a global insurance claims business. As CEO of Gallagher Bassett UK, Pemberton managed and integrated four acquisitions, including a regulated law firm and a chartered loss adjuster. His accomplishments include being named to the Business Insurance 2022 Global 100 list.
“I’ve known Mobile for a number of years now and seen the company grow from strength to strength. I think with additional leadership support, the company can grow further and solidify its place among the elite of the logistics sector,” said Simon Pemberton.
Andy Connor brings over 40 years of expertise in the logistics supply chain sector. His roles include Chief Commercial Officer and UK Managing Director at Hellmann Worldwide Logistics Limited. Connor’s career highlights include significantly increasing Hellmann’s turnover and securing major contracts with public and private sector clients.

The appointments of Pemberton and Connor are part of a strategic initiative to enhance leadership and attract new business, clients, and investment. Their focus will include creating a new board, assessing the company’s market position, and developing a strategic plan for long-term growth.
