InPost has announced an expansion of its Vinted partnership as well as the launch of its InPost Shop, a new parcel pick-up service in the UK.

Second-hand fashion marketplace Vinted has over eight million registered members in the UK. Earlier this year, the company led a initial trial with InPost due to increased interest in out-of-home (OOH) parcel delivery options from its customer base.

The service gives Vinted members the option to collect parcels from participating stores, providing an additional OOH collection option alongside InPost’s 5,000 unit locker network.

Commenting on the news, Michael Rouse, CEO of InPost International, said:

“While we will always be a locker-first company, we’re constantly looking for ways to take convenience to the next level for our customers and their shoppers. This is exactly what our new InPost Shop Service helps us to do, as our Vinted partnership goes from strength to strength. It enables us to accelerate our network capacity to capture further demand for InPost’s services. Furthermore, in some areas where APMs installation is tricky due to space constraints we can still add a collection point for our growing 2million user base. This marks an important milestone in our mission to become the UK’s largest OOH provider.”

Vytautas Atkocaitis, Vice President of Vinted Go, added:

“While our buyers and sellers love the greater choice and convenience that InPost’s out-of-home delivery solutions provide them, Vinted’s first Climate Impact Report also showed that on average, PUDO deliveries instead of a buyer’s home delivery reduces the emissions of a typical Vinted shipment by 62%. The expansion of the geographical focus of our partnership is indicative of the high levels of demand we are seeing for our combined services, and we’re thrilled to evolve our offering to further serve this market, help drive the circular economy and empower even more people to join the second-hand fashion revolution.
