The authorities of Kiev have decided to introduce a permanent ban on trucks entering the city from Boryspil. The restriction applies from 7 to 10 am and applies to all vehicles with DMC over 3.5 t.

The ban in Kiev came into force from 19 September and applies to morning rush hours, from 7 to 10 am. The restriction was introduced permanently.

The decision to limit truck traffic was made after carrying out air quality tests. The analysis showed that the concentration of many hazardous compounds, in particular, sulfur dioxide and nitric oxide, is dangerously high and exceeds the permissible standards.

The restriction will also apply to unload traffic, which is extremely intense in this part of the city.
