In May, it emerged that the Packeta Group, which owns the Czech logistics and technology company Zásilkovna, had announced it is preparing for negotiations with investors. Now reports in Czech daily Hospodarske Noviny claim that Advent International has been shortlisted to acquire the company.
According to the report, for any bid to be shortlisted for consideration, it would have to amount to at least €300 million euros.
The newspaper adds that other parties interested include PPF, the largest investment company in the Czech Republic, and Czech billionaire Daniel Kretinsky, who is known among numerous other things for having shares in the Royal Mail.
Zasilkovna’s founder told Hospodarske Noviny that the company is anticipating 2023 revenue to reach 7.5 billion CZK (around €310.77m). If that turns out to be the case, the figure is up noticeably from the 6.1 billion CZK revenue the parcel delivery company recorded last year.
