The additional sailing increases A2B-online’s frequency to near-daily arrivals at the Kent port on Sundays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. The expansion reflects growing demand for reliable short-sea container transport, as companies seek predictable and efficient logistics solutions.
Mark Taylor, Director of London Thamesport, welcomed the development, highlighting the port’s commitment to tailored service.
“Demand in the short-sea container market continues to grow as shippers look for a reliable and predictable service offering,” he said.
A2B-online’s Managing Director, Michael van Keulen, emphasized the long-standing partnership between the company and London Thamesport, which has spanned 11 years. “Their dedication, flexibility, and focus on operational excellence match our values and have helped drive our growth over that time,” he said.
In addition to increasing sailings at London Thamesport, A2B-online is expanding its European footprint. The company has launched two new sustainable transport options in 2025: a barge service between Moerdijk and Duisburg, Germany, and A2B-online Express, an intermodal rail link between Moerdijk and Melzo, Italy.
With rising demand for short-sea logistics, A2B-online’s increased frequency at London Thamesport and its broader European expansion position the company for continued growth in the sector.
