A lorry driver has been fined over €740 by the Norwegian road police for obstructing the view from his cabin with various different items.

The truck was spotted during recent checks at Sandmoen, south of Trondheim.

As the image below shows, the trucker had several teddy bears on his dashboard, plus other soft toys. In addition, several gadgets and items of memorabilia were either attached to or hanging in front of the windscreen. Finally, a Christian cross and low hanging curtain also impaired the driver’s visibility.

The inspectors naturally did not like what they saw, and handed out a driving ban and a review.

In addition, the driver received a fee of 7,500 kroner, which amounts to roughly €743.

121 other HGVs passed through the Sandmoen during the latest inspection. Of those, 11 were pulled over for further checks. One of trucks was to found to have tyres with too little tread, resulting in a fine of 2,500 kroner (approximately €248).
