The site, part of the 100,000 m² GLP Park Denain complex, is situated near Lille in the Hauts-de-France region, an area known for its robust logistics infrastructure. The location is accessible via 12 motorways, rail connections, and the Grand Canal de l’Escaut. It is positioned at the junction of the A2 and A21 motorways, approximately 109 km from Brussels and 198 km from Paris.

The warehouse has received BREEAM Very Good certification and is equipped with 85 doors, a beam height of 11.40 metres, and a floor load capacity of 5 tonnes per square metre. It features separate circulation routes for heavy and light vehicles and an automated docking system (Autodocks).

According to Maersk, the new facility enhances its warehousing and distribution services across Europe, with operations now spanning 15 countries in addition to its global network. The Denain site follows the opening of another warehouse in Fredericia, Denmark, in the summer of 2024.

Philippe Graziani, Country Director for GLP France, highlighted the importance of the Hauts-de-France region, noting that it represents nearly a third of GLP’s portfolio in France.

“We are proud to welcome such a major customer as Maersk to GLP Park Denain,” he stated.

Maersk’s Regional Head of Contract Logistics in Europe, Michele Cohonner, described the facility’s launch as a milestone for the company in France, supporting its efforts to develop tailored solutions for customers and their end-users.
