Extensive maintenance work on the Dutch A15 motorway between Ridderkerk and Deil will significantly impact transport and transit between the east and west of the Netherlands. The route is also crucial for international traffic.

From 12 July to 28 October 2024, a section of the Dutch A15 motorway will be closed for four weeks and two weekends. There will be separate closure dates for each direction.

Single lane closure at all times

“We always work in one direction, the other direction remains open,” stresses the Rijkswaterstaat (Dutch Directorate-General for Public Works and Water Management).

Drivers should expect major traffic disruptions and additional travel time during the period of the works, which could amount to more than 60 minutes.

Works on the A15 will be carried out on the following dates:

  • Friday 12 July from 22:00 to Friday 19 July until 05:00 – closure at Gorinchem junction towards Deil junction;
