Mobilize Power Solutions recently introduced Bento, an ultra-compact, all-electric minivan boasting a 140 km range and a 1m3 load capacity.

The company’s tailored charging solutions and infrastructure are provided for Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) and Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) fleets. Urban areas are increasingly imposing stringent environmental standards, a demand that Bento, designed with 50% recycled materials (versus the 15% industry average), aims to meet.

Scheduled for a debut in the first half of 2024, Bento caters to business clients seeking a compact, dependable vehicle for urban deliveries of goods and services. This includes tasks like repairs, maintenance, personal services, and on-demand deliveries.

Bento, an all-electric, single-seater minivan, reaches a top speed of 80 km/h and covers 140 kilometers on a single charge. Its zero emissions and low noise make it eligible for ultra-low emission zones. The vehicle’s charging cable is adaptable, featuring a standard connector for domestic use and a Type 2 connector compatible with public charging points.

The vehicle features an airbag and air conditioning—rare for quadricycles. The unique vertical opening glass side doors enhance safety for users, pedestrians, and cyclists, preventing encroachment on roads or pavements.

Designed for practicality, Bento’s 1m3 load capacity (with an 80 kg payload) in its customizable cargo box addresses the diverse needs of local service providers. Both the body and cargo box can be personalized.

The vehicle is also equipped with native connectivity, crucial for fleet management, uploading real-time vehicle data like charge status and location to a secure online server. Additionally, the digital key feature facilitates easy access and startup via a smartphone, streamlining fleet sharing and rotation.
