Officers soon the learned that the driver, who was transporting police vehicles from Lower Bavaria to Nordrhein-Westphalia, had no licence at hand.

The lorry driver told officers that he must have either lost his driver’s license or left it at home by mistake.

However, an inspection then found that his driver’s license had been revoked and therefore he was not allowed to drive.

Despite the embarrassment the story must have caused, the police openly published information on the story via its Facebook Page.

The final sentence of the report just happened to read “By the way, the transport was loaded with four new vehicles for the NRW Karriere police department”.
