Officers from Leicestershire Roads Policing Unit have arrested a lorry driver who “unbelievably” drove on after shedding a skip and wrecking his/her vehicle’s cabin during a bridge strike.
According to Leicestershire Roads Policing Unit, the trucker left the skip lying in the middle of the road and continued driving after the bridge strike. The accident occurred last Friday.
Photos released by the police show how low the bridge must have been – the top of the truck’s cabin was severely damaged.
The trucker was arrested as a result of the incident.
Officers from RPU found this earlier after it had struck a bridge. Unbelievably the driver continued driving having left the skip in the middle of the road.
