zipmend express says the cooperation is an important step towards it placing freight forwarding more strongly in its own portfolio while also ensuring quality in its own network.

The cooperation agreement means zipmend will primarily use Trans.eu’s private freight exchange. The courier service aims to harness Trans.eu’s product in order to build its own transport community on one of the largest digital marketplaces for transport services in Europe.

“With zipmend Express, we are connecting a company with our platform that has already realised the need for digital solutions for the transport market. We are convinced that our solution will create real added value for zipmend, its customers and its partners,” says Bijan Hakami, responsible Business Development Manager at Trans.eu.

According to Trans.eu, this not only gives zipmend the opportunity to digitally manage its own carrier network within a private and exclusive environment, but also to allocate transports faster and prioritise carriers with high quality standards.

Trans.eu adds that partner companies that perform well and reliably can be included in the select circle of partners in the private freight exchange and rewarded with preferential contracting. In addition, the cooperation will provide zipmend with the means to prevent the resale of loads to third parties.

“The carriers, in turn, are only notified of relevant transport requests in the private freight exchange and can thus submit their offers in a more targeted manner. Thanks to API integration with the Trans.eu platform, zipmend can manage the cooperation with partner companies directly from its own TMS, which simplifies and shortens the tendering process for all parties involved,” says Trans.eu.
