On 27 November, the Raben Group and Sieber Transport AG announced the signing of an agreement to form Raben Sieber AG, which will officially launch on 1 March 2025.

The joint venture will take over Sieber Transport’s general cargo operations and some of its employees, offering national and international general cargo transport services in Switzerland and across Europe. Both companies will actively shape the strategic direction of the new company as co-partners.

By combining their strengths, customers will benefit from extensive geographical coverage, shorter delivery times, and enhanced transparency across all processes.

“I am delighted that Switzerland is now part of the Raben family, as it perfectly complements our network and opens new opportunities for us in Europe. It also strengthens our position in the DACH region and increases development potential in Western Europe,” said Ewald Raben, CEO of the Raben Group.

The Raben Group emphasised that this move marks another strategic milestone in the ongoing development of its independent groupage network in Europe. Switzerland now joins the 15 markets where the company already operates its own branches and warehouses, which collectively cover a total area of 1.8 million square metres. These markets include Austria, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Latvia, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, and Ukraine.

The Raben Group has developed an independent groupage network in Germany and has acquired companies in Austria and Italy in recent years, establishing itself as a leading provider in Central and Eastern Europe.

Sieber Transport AG, a family-owned company founded in Switzerland in 1974, offers a wide range of logistics services. Christian Sieber, CEO of Sieber Transport AG, commented:

“This move is a key part of Sieber’s corporate strategy and allows us to meet customer needs efficiently and flexibly in a changing market environment.
