The German Rhenus Group announced the acquisition of the Spanish company LTK, which specialises in logistics solutions for the aviation and automotive industries.

LTK, based in Madrid, has three logistics centres in Spain – in the Basque city of Álava, as well as in Seville and Cadiz – with a total area of 26,000 sqm. LTK’s clients include Airbus Group and Alestis Aerospace. LTK has been operating since 2002 and has supplied Airbus’ production facilities in Cadiz and Seville since 2004.

“In future, LTK’s warehouse locations will form the basis for further expansion of Rhenus Warehousing Solutions in Spain. Together we are counting on opportunities for growth in the Spanish aviation sector. Furthermore, we can enter the European aviation market thanks to our newly acquired know-how and the support of LTK,” said Andreas Plikat, Managing Director of Rhenus Warehousing Solutions Europe.

In addition to warehousing, LTK offers supply chain management, procurement, returns and spare parts logistics, quality control, as well as industrial cross-docking and aircraft handling. In addition, the company carries out more than 110,000 technical tests for its clients every year.
