The latest checks by the road transport inspectorate in the Netherlands have seen a road transport boss fined for driving one of his trucks while using another person’s tachograph card.
As explained on the road transport inspectorate’s Twitter page, the driver of the lorry was fined €4,400 (more than would normally be the case for a driver) as he was also the owner of the haulage firm. The haulier was also banned from conducting any transports for a 24-hour period.
