Protesting carriers blocked two French motorways on the border with Belgium, according to the daily Le Figaro.
About 100 trucks obstructed two lanes of the A22 motorway at Neuville-en-aoFerrain, on the border with Belgium. On the Belgian side, according to FNTR Pas-de-Calais, congestion was formed. The second blockade was created at Crespin on the A2 motorway, also on the French-Belgian border.
The French transport associations OTRE and FNTR have mobilized carriers to protest against rising fuel prices. Today’s action is one of two campaigns organised by the unions. The second will take place on 5 December.
