On 2 June, Friday, at the Iveco factory in Madrid, the World Class Manufacturing Gold Medal award ceremony took place at the Iveco Show, when the new model of Iveco was presented. Will this be a breakthrough in the heavy field vehicles segment?
New Stralis will enter the European market already in September this year. X-Way combines the equipment and the drive of the latest XP version with the most solid Trakker chassis.
It is dedicated mainly to the construction and communal sectors but also to the supply in difficult terrain.
The new model with get from its “older brother”, XP, both the drive and modern, long-distance proven equipment. The heart of X-WAY will include 9-, 11- and 13-liter Cursor engines using Hi-SCR exhaust gas technology, without EGR and with no need to regenerate particulate filters. In addition, it will be equipped with safety and fuel saving systems, which in XP reduced combustion by as much as 11.2%. On the paved roads the vehicle will burn less fuel and will handle in moderate field.
Stralis X-Way is available as a semi-trailer truck and chassis, and can be freely configurable thanks to its modular design. There will be various wheelbases, suspension levels and cabins – from short AD (Active Day) to the largest and most comfortable, AS (Active Space), designed for long distance transport.
