Swipbox has announced that 1,000 of its parcel lockers are now operational in Athens.
The lockers are being used by Skroutz Last Mile and have all been installed within a year, with the first 100 arriving in March 2022.
“With the Infinity locker, we don’t have to choose between quality of service and efficiency. We can deliver both,” stated Stefanos Katsimpas, Business Director at Skroutz Last Mile, adding: “Our focus is on providing excellent service when it comes to delivering goods through e-commerce. Things move fast in the world of online shopping, and we need to be adaptable. That’s why we went with the Infinity parcel lockers, which can be installed anywhere in just 10 minutes, allowing us to scale our network when needed. It doesn’t get more flexible than that,” he said.
SwipBox CCO Kasper Cort added:
“It’s been an extremely exciting and educational process for us to work with a partner that owns the whole customer journey from e-commerce to parcel delivery,” said SwipBox CCO Kasper Cort, adding: “We were excited to see how our lockers would fare in Greece, which is such a different market from the Nordics. What we’ve seen so far is impressive. In fact, with 1,000 lockers installed in one year and with 8 out of 10 customers who have used the locker continuing to do so, the numbers speak for themselves.”
Having started in Athens, Skroutz Last Mile says it is now ready to roll out the solution to other cities in Greece.
