Austria has recently announced it will extend border controls with the Czech Republic until December 6, 2023.
The ordinance of the Federal Minister of the Interior on the temporary reintroduction of border controls at the internal borders with the Czech Republic was recently amended, extending the period of border controls from November 16, 2023 to December 6, 2023.
The police officers will carry out effective and targeted controls at the (Czech) border to prevent the smuggling mafia from shifting their routes,” said Austrian Interior Minister Gerhard Karner according to a report by Alabrabiya News.
