Multiple arrests made as 13 people found in lorry at Ipswich Retail Park

An incident unfolded earlier on Thursday at Ransomes Europark in Ipswich, when more than a dozen individuals were discovered within a lorry on the premises, reports local press. Three individuals have been apprehended thus far, including the male driver of the vehicle. Authorities suspect the individuals found in the lorry entered the UK illegally.

Police, along with other emergency services, swiftly responded to the situation after receiving reports of individuals discovered in the back of a lorry.

The discovery took place at approximately 10:40 a.m. on Thursday, 25th May, on the Ransomes Industrial Estate, Ipswich.

The arrested people are being questioned by Home Office Immigration Enforcement, while the driver of the lorry is also undergoing interrogation on suspicion of Immigration Act offences.

All three arrested individuals have been taken to the Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for further inquiries.

According to eyewitnesses, there was a notable presence of emergency services in the area, suggesting the seriousness of the incident. However, the specific details regarding the incident have not been revealed yet due to ongoing investigations.
