Alco-laser is a unique sensor able to detect alcohol vapours inside a moving car is a new Russian weapon for fighting with drunk drivers.
It is assumed to start coming into wide-spread use within the next two years. Alco-laser’s sensitivity allows to detect through a car’s windscreen 1 part of alcohol per million of other particles, which equals 2 pints (1 liter) of beer or 100 grams of vodka.
The sensor detects alcohol vapours inside a car traveling with the speed of maximum 120km/ph and passes the information down to the police station for further analysis.
