Amid a shortage of empty containers in Asian ports, cargo-partner has announced it has expanded its Full Container Load service offering to include shipments to India and Southeast Asia.
“The recent increase in demand for imports from Asia and the longer transit times for services around the Cape of Good Hope have led to a massive shortage of empty containers in Asian ports. As a result, shipping lines are now keen to get this equipment back into their regular westbound trades as quickly as possible,” writes cargo-partner, explaining its motive for expanding its service offering.
cargo-partner states that to enable companies exporting from Europe to “benefit from this advantageous and cost-effective situation”, it has enhanced its Europe-Asia ocean freight service offering to include “a wide network of destinations in Asia”.
Besides the main Chinese ports, the network includes the ports of Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Kolkata, Chennai, and Ho Chi Minh City.
The company also provides departures from northern European ports such as Rotterdam, Antwerp, Hamburg, and London. In addition, depending on region and catchment area, departures from Genoa, Piraeus, various ports in Türkiye and the Black Sea as well as the Adriatic ports of Koper and Rijeka, which are available upon request.
