In a press release on its website, the Cornelissen Group said the deal would see it acquire approximately 35 vehicles and 50 employees.
The press release also stated that by “introducing further focus and specialisation in their chosen market segments, both companies are ready for the future.”
“We see the acquisition of these transport activities as a further strengthening of our services. Retail and shop distribution are increasingly becoming a real specialty in the market and with this increase in scale, we can offer our customers an even broader service portfolio. Scale is also necessary to keep up with market developments, energy transition and digitisation in our sector,” said Mark van der Drift, CEO of the Cornelissen group.
The Cornelissen Group estimates that after the takeover, the company’s annual turnover will reach €200 million, with its workforce being over 1,200 employees.
