The company says the direct line to Northern Italy follows the successful implementation of Dachser UK’s Smart Border Connect solution, which has generated significant demand for additional European export connections.
The new service is expected to reduce terminal handling and improve transit times for UK exporters.
This development comes after Dachser acquired an 80% controlling share in FERCAM’s groupage and contract logistics divisions, leading to the creation of DACHSER & FERCAM Italia. This acquisition allows Dachser UK to maintain a coordinated and high-quality service at both the origin and destination points.
“Dachser has always had daily services to all European markets from the UK via our three Eurohubs, and we are now excited to introduce this additional daily direct service to Italy which will service both British and Irish exporters,” stated Mark Cosgrove, Regional Sales & Commercial Manager for UK & Ireland.
