DB Schenker has announced that Ralf Többe, the current Executive Vice President for Land Transport in the Germany/Switzerland region, will step into the role of CEO for the same region on 1 April 2025. Többe will succeed Roland Dressler, who has decided not to renew his contract to focus on his private life after more than three decades with the company.

Többe, who has held the land transport leadership role in the Germany/Switzerland region since 2021, brings extensive expertise in the transport and logistics sector. Before joining DB Schenker, he built a distinguished career with Stinnes AG, Kühne + Nagel, and General Logistics Systems (GLS) Germany. Known as a seasoned professional in the industry, Többe is expected to continue driving growth and operational excellence in the region.

DB Schenker’s spokesperson confirmed the appointment, first reported by Verkehrsrundschau, stating that Többe will maintain his responsibilities as land transport manager alongside his new role as CEO.

Roland Dressler’s departure

Dressler, who has served as CEO of the Germany/Switzerland region since 2022, will leave his position after 32 years at DB Schenker. His career at the freight forwarding and logistics company has spanned multiple leadership roles, particularly in air freight.

This leadership transition occurs as DB Schenker moves forward under new ownership. On 13 September 2024, DSV signed an agreement to acquire Schenker from Deutsche Bahn, a deal that is expected to influence the company’s strategic direction.

Többe’s appointment is seen as a continuation of the region’s commitment to delivering high-quality services in one of Europe’s most significant logistics markets.
