According to reports in Poland, Polish convenience store Żabka is trialing the use of DPD parcel lockers in its stores.
Photos released on Twitter show one of DPD’s Swipbox parcel lockers installed in a Żabka store.

The move echoes a previous trial that Żabka launched in partnership with InPost.
Both companies are already partners in that Żabka’s 9,100 branches can be used as a DPD pick-up, drop-off point.
If consumers opt for parcel locker ahead of PUDO, Żabka staff should be freed up to deal with their other duties. However, as critics have pointed out, the screenless parcel lockers to be used in the trial require users to have a mobile application installed and for bluetooth to be activated on their phone. This makes it difficult for users to have a third party pick up a parcel on their behalf.
