A lorry load of beer crates sadly fell out of the back on a truck in Erfurt yesterday morning, the losses of which amounted to several thousands of euros.

According to a police statement, the truck driver had picked up the load from a brewery in the Thuringian region, but got lost in the city of Erfurt.

After making a wrong turn, the driver quickly turned around the truck around in a furniture store car park on Eisenacher Street. That reportedly caused several pallets with crates of beer to fall out of the back of the truck and splatter all over the street.

The fire brigade, along with another truck, were deployed to remove broken bottles and clean the road.

The police report says the damage amounted to around 6,000 euros.
