Girteka Logistics, a controversial transport company known in Europe, has just dispatched its 4,000th truck. According to the company’s representatives, it symbolises the good year, closed by Girteka with a 30-percent growth. And although not everyone has a good opinion about it, the company’s development is impressive.

4,000 trucks and 4.3 thousand trailers in our fleet symbolise the successful year for the company,” says Donatas Načajus, Transport Director at Girteka Logistics.

For comparison, Girteka’s fleet in 2016 consisted „only” of 2.6 thousand trucks. At that time, the company employed 7.9 thousand people. Currently, it already has 9,500 employees.

The 4-thousandth vehicle of the carrier is a Volvo FH540 with a 13-liter engine, a Globetrotter cabin, and an I-Shift automatic transmission. In addition, the truck is equipped with Fuel & Economy software and a Driver Alert system.

The Lithuanian carrier’s large purchases

In 2017, Girteka was spoken about quite often. First, because of the purchase of 2 thousand new Volvo FH trucks, later the company took out a loan of 95 million euros. In autumn, Girteka boasted about purchasing the first electronic Tesla truck in Europe.
